A Christmas Bird Count was done in the Chatsworth S.D. on December 27th , 2014. Mostly clear skies & light winds. The temperature -12 morning , -2 in afternoon & snow depth ~12 inches Covered by car & foot, 70km;  time spent 9 hrs. Participants:  George & Laurie Murray , Stewart & Kerri Rooke & Carol & Rudy Tangedal. There were 9 species recorded with a total of 311 individuals .   6 - Downy Woodpeckers   4- Hairy Wood Peckers   4 - Blue Jays  21 - Magpies    8 - Ravens  23 - Black Capped Chickadees    2 - White Breasted Nuthatch's 110 - Snow Buntings 133 - House Sparrows Mammals:   7- White Tail Deer   1 - Red Fox   1 - Red Squirrel Also to note:  9 Beaver Houses , as well as many muskrat huts. Not seen on count day, but in the period - 2 Pileated Woodpeckers
